Friendship Triangle Swap
Use 100% cotton quilt shop quality fabric. Use any blue, medium to dark, from your stash and any light neutral, white or off white. Make 32, 2" finsihed size triangles.
To prepare your triangles use a grid method or Thangles. This will ensure each block is consistent.
You can find free printable templates at the World Wide Quilting Page.
Put World Wide Quilting Page into your search line. When the home page comes up, scroll down and click on "easy piecing triangle templates" print 4 grids of 2" finished size. Each grid makes 8 half square triangles for a total of 32 half square triangles which only take a few minutes each to make. (I staple my grid to the fabric outside of the cutting line. When you cut your grid apart the staples are cut off.)
Cut your grids apart, but do not remove the paper or open the triangles. Always sew with the light fabric on top. This will automatically make your seams fold toward the dark fabric. Leaving the paper on will prevent stretching.
Place your triangles in a plastic bag and include a piece of paper with your name on it. Turn your plastic bag in to Susan Moore the first night of the retreat. Your bag will be returned to you before the end of the retreat with 32 different triangles. We will do our best to make sure you receive 32 different fabics, although this may not be possible.
